Plant & Animal Cells
The hereditary archive — a double-membraned vault where the cell's genetic blueprint is stored, copied and read.

Plant & Animal Cells
Where premium proteins begin.
A folded membrane workshop studded with ribosomes — the first address for proteins destined for secretion or the cell's membranes.

The campaign imagery is a fictional luxury concept. Toggle to Scientific X-Ray for the labelled biological illustration.
A network of flattened, membrane-bound sacs called cisternae, with ribosomes attached to the cytosolic surface. The RER membrane is continuous with the outer nuclear membrane.
Bound ribosomes synthesise proteins destined for secretion, cellular membranes and parts of the endomembrane system (including lysosomes). As they are made, these proteins enter the RER lumen or membrane, where they fold and may undergo initial modification, including glycosylation. Transport vesicles carry them onwards to the Golgi apparatus.
Eukaryotic cells, including plant and animal cells.
Enables production, folding, initial processing and transport of proteins that must be secreted or delivered to specific membranes and compartments.
Attached ribosomes bring newly forming proteins into the ER lumen or membrane where they fold and are modified initially.

Plant & Animal Cells
A tubular membrane studio devoted to lipids, steroids and detoxification — no ribosomes in sight.
